Overview
An established UK business is looking for a Junior Admin Assistant to support its team on a part-time, fully remote basis. This opportunity is aimed at someone at the beginning of their administrative career who wants to build experience in a well-organised and encouraging environment.
Role summary
In this position, you will assist with everyday office administration tasks, such as entering data, organising files, handling simple correspondence, and helping senior administrators with routine work. The role reports to the Senior Administrator on the client side.
Key responsibilities
- Enter information accurately and keep documents properly filed.
- Assist senior administrators with everyday office support tasks.
- Handle simple email communication and direct enquiries to the right person.
- Keep both digital and physical records neat and well organised.
- Prepare letters, documents, and standard reports as needed.
- Support team coordination using remote working and collaboration tools.
- Follow the company’s agreed administrative procedures consistently.
Required background
The employer is open to candidates with some exposure to office or administrative work, including placements, internships, or other work experience. Strong English communication skills, a careful eye for detail, and a willingness to learn are important. You should also be comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic office software, and be dependable, punctual, and professional.
Work setup
This is a UK-wide remote role, so you will need to be able to work independently from home. A reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace are required for success in the position.
Nice-to-have experience
It would be an advantage if you are studying toward, or have already completed, a business administration qualification. Previous part-time administration work or customer-facing experience would also be beneficial.
What the role offers
The position provides flexible part-time hours, structured support and training, and the chance to develop practical administrative skills in a professional setting. It is also intended to support long-term progression in administration.
Application process
Interested candidates are asked to submit a CV through the relevant job listing. Applications are reviewed as they come in, so early application is encouraged. Successful applicants will be contacted by the recruitment team to discuss the next steps.
Equal opportunities
The recruiter and client are committed to fair hiring. Candidates are considered without discrimination based on age, gender, ethnicity, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or background. Final hiring decisions are made according to skills, experience, and suitability for the role.
Compensation
The pay rate is £10 to £13 per hour, which works out to an annual equivalent of £19,500 to £25,350 based on a 37.5-hour week.
