Junior Developer

Role overview

Next Match AI LLC is hiring a Junior Developer to join its globally distributed engineering team. This role supports the company’s AI-powered matching systems and HR API infrastructure as they expand across North America and the GCC. You will contribute to feature delivery, database tuning, and data validation work while working fully remotely from anywhere in the UAE and collaborating closely with the Abu Dhabi engineering hub.

Key responsibilities

• Create and improve clean, maintainable code for responsive front-end experiences and server-side application logic.
• Support integration, upkeep, and documentation of the company’s HR API connections, including reliable data exchange with external client systems.
• Track down, troubleshoot, and fix UI issues and backend scripting errors to keep the platform stable and smooth.
• Assist with writing and refining basic database queries and help manage structured data and transaction logs.
• Maintain accurate internal documentation, including engineering notes, API records, and deployment procedures.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant has early-career software development experience, a strong project portfolio, or prior internship exposure, and is eager to grow under senior engineering mentorship. You should be comfortable working across modern frontend and backend tools, able to communicate clearly in a remote environment, and ready to contribute to cloud-based product development.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional software development experience, or a strong internship background, or a portfolio of live full-stack applications.
• Practical familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or Vue.
• Exposure to backend development using Node.js, Python, or a comparable framework.
• Basic working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Comfort using Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability, with a willingness to learn complex cloud systems.
• Strong written and spoken English; Arabic communication skills are a significant advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical bootcamp-based training.

Compensation and benefits

• Monthly base pay of AED 13,000 to AED 16,500, tax-free, depending on portfolio strength and technical assessment performance.
• Compensation is positioned at 20% above the UAE market average.
