Deskripsi pekerjaan
About the company
Rilla is building tools to index the offline world. The company has already become a leading sales coaching platform for organizations that sell in person, with more than 1,000 customers including The Home Depot, KKR, Neighborly, and PulteGroup. The business is supported by investors such as Google Ventures, Bessemer Ventures, Crew Capital, and Broom Ventures. Rilla operates from an in-office team in New York City and values speed, customer focus, experimentation, and measurable real-world impact.
Role overview
As a Product Designer, you will help shape how AI is brought into physical-world workflows. You will improve the core product while also creating new experiences across desktop and mobile as the company expands into new use cases, audiences, and markets. Much of the work will involve open-ended problems, early customer discovery, and quick iteration.
There are no dedicated product managers on the team, so you and your engineering partners will own projects end to end, from discovering the problem to designing the solution and helping bring it to life. You will also work directly with customers on early prototypes, use feedback to refine ideas, and help define the design culture as one of the company’s first three designers.
What the team values
- A strong desire to keep learning and exploring new ideas.
- Deep customer focus, with an emphasis on solving real problems rather than chasing vanity metrics.
- A competitive, accountable mindset that welcomes fast feedback and team learning.
- High empathy for customers who work outside the tech industry and need practical solutions.
- Comfort with risk-taking and the ability to treat setbacks as learning opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong motivation and real enthusiasm for design work.
- A customer-first mindset, with willingness to speak directly with users and shape solutions around their needs.
- A commitment to quality craftsmanship, intuitive interaction design, and experiences that are easy and enjoyable to use.
- Interest in joining an early-stage startup and helping establish the product and design culture.
- Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment and learn from customer feedback at high speed.
- Preferred: hands-on production coding experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or front-end tools such as React and Tailwind, plus openness to keep learning.
Important considerations
Candidates should be excited about building an AI product for an industry that has not been strongly served by modern software. The role involves regular conversations with customers and visits in the field. The team works in person in New York City, at a pace that can reach around 70 hours per week, and is aiming to build a company with long-term, outsized impact. The product vision also expects a premium level of visual polish and interaction quality, closer to a consumer-grade experience than traditional B2B SaaS.
Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $181,000 to $234,000 per year. Candidates with competing offers may receive an adjusted offer aligned to the market. Total compensation may also include incentive stock options and other possible future incentives. The estimate does not include benefits or the future value of long-term incentives.
