Role Overview
This position focuses on handling guest booking needs for a luxury hospitality environment. The role involves managing reservation inquiries, making changes, and processing cancellations while ensuring each guest receives accurate information and attentive service.
Core Duties
You will assess reservation requests and match guests with the most suitable room type. The job also includes confirming room and rate availability, explaining guarantee terms, special pricing rules, and cancellation conditions, and recording special requests carefully.
In addition, you will respond to questions about the property, its facilities, services, and room options. The role requires using reservation systems efficiently, entering data accurately, and applying the correct reservation codes and rates for categories such as complimentary stays, employee discounts, travel agent inspection rates, and wholesale bookings.
You will also use sales-oriented techniques to help drive revenue and follow the proper escalation process whenever guest issues need further attention.
Service Standards and Workplace Expectations
The position requires strict adherence to company policies, procedures, confidentiality rules, and standards for professional presentation. You must help protect company assets and safeguard the privacy and security of guests and colleagues.
Guest interaction is expected to reflect a polished service style: greet and acknowledge guests according to brand standards, respond to service needs promptly, assist guests with disabilities, and communicate with clear, professional language. Telephone etiquette is also essential.
The role involves building constructive working relationships, supporting shared team goals, listening carefully to coworkers, and responding appropriately to concerns. You must also meet quality standards and be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place items weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
Other reasonable tasks may be assigned by supervisors as needed.
Preferred Background
A high school diploma or an equivalent GED is preferred. No prior work experience is required, and there is no supervisory experience requirement. No license or certification is needed.
