Role overview

We are hiring a Server to join a luxury hospitality team at The Chedi Al Bait in Sharjah. In this onsite role, you will help deliver a polished dining experience, support smooth service operations, and contribute to memorable guest stays in a high-end setting.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests courteously, including using their names when known, and help seat them comfortably.
• Provide table service within the assigned section while working under the direction of the manager or supervisor.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the menu, beverage list, preparation techniques, and service details.
• Pay attention to guest needs and respond quickly to help ensure a high level of satisfaction and positive guest relationships.
• Escalate guest complaints to the supervisor without delay.
• Send orders to the kitchen and make sure tables are correctly set with the required service equipment.
• Replenish cabinets and drawers with sufficient mise en place to keep service running efficiently.
• Follow grooming standards and wear the assigned uniform throughout the shift.
• Keep the outlet clean and presentable at all times.
• Stay informed about the hotel’s facilities so you can guide and assist guests effectively.
• Complete daily checks of supplies and equipment inventory.
• Carry out side work and any additional duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a waitress or in another guest-facing hospitality position.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Understanding of food and beverage service, including basic preparation methods.
• Comfort working in a busy environment and managing several tasks at once.
• Strong eye for detail and a consistent commitment to cleanliness and service quality.
• Professional appearance that meets hotel grooming standards.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays when required.
• Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work well in a team.
• Organizational capability for station setup and stock management.

Preferred profile

• Experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining setting is an advantage.
• Exposure to international guest service standards is desirable.
• Additional language skills would be beneficial.
