Role Summary

This position supports the Store Manager with day-to-day store operations to keep thrift store activities running smoothly. When needed, the role also performs the duties of a Sales Associate.

Key Duties

  • Provide courteous and positive interactions with customers and donors.
  • Safeguard the condition and integrity of donated goods.
  • Accurately process customer purchases, including cash and debit transactions.
  • Help support store budget goals by maintaining strong customer service standards.
  • Open and close the store in line with established procedures when required.
  • Receive, sort, load, unload, pack, price, and store donated materials.
  • Use product knowledge to answer customer questions by phone or in person.

  • Assist with inventory control through receiving, sorting, and pricing according to instructions.

  • Ensure donated goods are sorted and processed according to quality expectations.

  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.

Working Conditions
