About the role
The Technical Procurement Specialist will support the full engagement cycle for major equipment and related services for CDC Developments. The focus of the role is to make sure equipment and services are delivered with strong quality, dependable performance, and the ability to scale, while also securing commercially favourable outcomes that support business goals.
Key responsibilities
- Support early-stage planning for new builds and service needs by contributing to capacity, scope, and delivery considerations.
- Ensure equipment and service requirements are aligned with project schedules, milestones, and procurement workflows from design through commissioning.
- Provide both technical and commercial input into proposals, supplier interactions, and services coordination.
- Handle engagement with service providers, monitor progress, reduce risk, and report on delivery status.
- Carry out site visits and assist with scope clarification, cost estimating, and invoice review to support accurate project delivery.
- Coordinate logistics, compliance-related activities, and ongoing improvements throughout project and service execution.
Candidate profile
This position suits someone with solid commercial and technical knowledge in construction, industrial facilities, or large-scale services environments. Candidates with a mechanical, electrical, or ICT/OT background are welcome, particularly those wanting to build a career in procurement.
Requirements
- Experience managing contracts, technical scopes, and supply agreements for equipment and services.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders, negotiate effectively, and resolve issues across engineering, construction, and supplier groups.
- Strong relationship management skills with a focus on delivery quality and satisfaction outcomes.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills for analysing costs, schedules, and procurement information.
- Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance.
Additional information
The role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney, with flexibility to work from CBD offices or Western Suburbs campuses.
