Role overview
This position sits within the European growth team and plays a key part in building vendor programmes that support the company’s expansion goals. You will work with business development, sales, and wider internal teams to structure solutions that carefully balance volume, margin, and risk while ensuring strong governance and effective programme management.
The role also involves developing trusted relationships with vendors and customers, presenting and negotiating at senior levels, and working with legal, tax, and other specialist functions to design financial solutions that suit partner needs. In partnership with the Business Development team and the Managing Director, you will contribute to long-term strategy and help drive sustainable growth across European markets.
Key responsibilities
- Grow and strengthen existing group relationships across the UK and Europe by delivering finance solutions to vendors and their customers.
- Spot new sector opportunities and contribute to the design of products, pricing, and programme structures.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders, including senior leaders and C-suite contacts.
- Support strategic projects such as acquisitions, portfolio sales, and cash flow analysis preparation.
Requirements
- Strong leadership capability with the confidence to make sound commercial decisions and think strategically.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders positively.
- In-depth knowledge of vendor finance programmes across different asset classes and products, including receivables purchase, invoice discounting, and structured asset finance.
- Working knowledge of credit risk, documentation, tax, regulation, CRM systems, and/or asset finance operations.
- Awareness of key industry sectors such as construction, transport, industrial, IT, and medical equipment finance.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
