Claims Associate (Full Time)

Position Summary

This role focuses on processing vendor credits correctly, protecting inventory through careful handling of merchandise, and delivering strong service to vendor partners, store associates, and customers on the sales floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Support shrink reduction by promptly scanning merchandise that is damaged or reported stolen.
• Keep returns, vendor return requests, recalls, paperwork, packing, and shipments current and completed within company timelines. This also includes handling SORT and Global Donation merchandise.
• Follow safety standards at all times, including correct chemical disposal, keeping the claims area orderly and hazard-free, and using ladders and lifting methods properly.
• Track merchandise flowing through claims, protect company assets by following the correct process, and help keep chargebacks as low as possible by recording returns and shrink wins accurately.
• Stay informed on company policies, procedures, and systems related to damaged and recalled goods, and ensure new store programs are carried out consistently.
• Apply the Return Manual standards by keeping claims up to date, limiting chargebacks, and completing Vendor Return Request forms for claims older than 45 days.
• Complete all GM CVP tasks.
• Provide assistance to the Office Support Associate and Direct Store Delivery Associate when needed.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.55.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
