About the Role
The Commercial Legal team at Canva is looking for a Contracts Manager to support Enterprise sales, Canva for Education, and Procurement by handling contracts end to end. The role sits within a team of ten and will evolve as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, and negotiate customer and supplier agreements while making sure terms align with company policies, legal standards, and accepted industry practice.
- Work closely with internal teams to collect the information needed to resolve contract issues and provide practical guidance that reflects business risk, deal structure, and internal rules.
- Keep an organized contract record that tracks important terms, commitments, and obligations.
- Suggest and help implement improvements to templates, workflows, and contracting tools so the process becomes faster, more effective, and easier to scale.
- Run training for legal colleagues and business partners on the tools and processes used in contracting, helping teams work more independently on routine commercial matters.
- Support ongoing upkeep and improvement of AI tools used throughout the contract lifecycle.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background negotiating SaaS contracts at high volume in support of sales teams, along with experience reviewing vendor agreements.
- Hands-on experience with Ironclad, Salesforce, and AI-based tools for contract review and administration.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Comfort working proactively to learn the business and identify both opportunities and risks.
- A practical, solutions-oriented mindset with sound risk judgment.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a positive and collegial working style.
- Confidence in live negotiations with customers and vendors.
- Ability to prioritize competing work, manage expectations, and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
Compensation and Benefits
The target annual salary for this role is between $107,000 and $155,000. Pay decisions are based on market data, skills, experience, and internal equity.
