Role overview
Join the Core Operations team in Singapore and help support a global multi-manager investment platform that works with both internal and external portfolio managers across several strategies, including fundamental equity, tactical, quantitative, discretionary macro, and fixed income. This role offers the chance to work with seasoned operations specialists on high-impact processes and tackle complex operational problems within the hedge fund space.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out T+1 reconciliations and investigate differences between internal systems, or between internal systems and the Prime Broker, across a range of products such as equities, futures, options, FX, bonds, listed swaps, and OTC instruments.
- Assess T+1 reconciliations prepared by external fund administrators and work with internal and external partners, including Middle Office, Asset Servicing, Fund Accounting, Prime Broker teams, and third-party providers, to close out breaks.
- Partner with teams such as Operations Technology, Trade Support, Accounting Valuations, and other external service providers to resolve operational issues, improve automation, introduce strategic changes, and help standardize procedures.
- Work with senior colleagues and leadership on strategic projects, process upgrades, and workflow improvements that increase efficiency.
- Bring more structure to operations by documenting procedures, suggesting better ways of working, and supporting rollout of those changes.
- Handle additional tasks and special projects assigned by senior team members or management.
Required background and skills
The position calls for strong knowledge of financial products and hands-on reconciliation experience, along with the ability to work across systems and teams. You should be comfortable with operational process migration, automation efforts, and data-driven problem solving. Advanced Excel capability and familiarity with technical tools or programming languages are also important.
