Cybersecurity Analyst

Role overview

As a CyOps Analyst, you will examine security alerts coming from the Cynet platform, look for signs of threats, and take part in live incident response work. The role also involves analyzing programs and software with dedicated tools to spot malicious behavior, categorize malware by comparing it with known threats, and prepare threat intelligence and malware analysis reports.

Team and mission

The SOC collaborates closely with the research team to run tests, discover new attack paths, and improve threat-hunting tools through tuning, development, and configuration. You will also help uncover unknown threats for global clients through advanced hunting services that extend standard Security Operations Center coverage.

Responsibilities

• Review security alerts in the Cynet platform to identify threats and support live incident response activities.
• Inspect programs and software using analysis tools to detect malicious behavior and classify malware based on prior threat patterns.
• Prepare threat intelligence and malware analysis reports.
• Work with the research team to test systems, find emerging attack vectors, and strengthen threat-hunting capabilities.
• Track down unknown threats for global customers through advanced threat-hunting services.
• Carry out analysis and forensic work on active threats, malware, and attacks using industry-standard tools and platforms.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of technical experience in networking, IT, or cybersecurity.
• Solid understanding of network architecture and common protocols such as HTTP and DNS.
• A practical, hands-on approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Ability to quickly learn complex technology systems and identify the most critical areas.
• Strong analytical ability, creative thinking, and a research-oriented mindset.
• Good presentation and training skills.
• Experience using security tools such as firewalls, IDS, SIEM, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Prior SOC analyst experience is considered an advantage.
• Experience identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities is an added advantage.
