Role overview
World Investment Advisors is looking for a data analyst with strong financial understanding to support its RIA/BD operations. The right candidate will enjoy working with large data sets, creating analytics solutions that scale, and turning data into insights that improve financial and operational results. This position partners closely with finance, operations, and advisor teams to build data products that inform business decisions.
What you will do
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot data pipelines that collect, standardize, and consolidate financial and operational information from Microsoft Fabric.
- Create, support, and debug integrations with outside partners and vendors.
- Explore and recommend additional data sources that can strengthen analytics capabilities.
- Develop and update dashboards and reporting tools to track metrics such as AUM growth, advisor productivity, fee revenue, and client retention.
- Perform detailed analysis of asset movement, pricing approaches, and advisor compensation models.
- Work with the finance team on forecasting, budgeting, and reporting using accurate, dependable data.
- Write and maintain SQL queries, Python scripts, and BI dashboards to automate repeating reporting and analytics work.
- Protect data quality across systems and spot mismatches, gaps, or unusual patterns early.
- Convert business questions into analytical approaches and present clear, useful insights.
What we are looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a closely related area.
- At least 3 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in financial services or wealth management.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and Python, including data cleaning, transformation, and automation.
- Comfort with financial concepts such as revenue recognition, fee structures, and advisor compensation.
- Experience using BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Exposure to custodial systems like Schwab, Fidelity, or Pershing, and portfolio accounting tools such as Orion, Tamarac, or Black Diamond is advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information to stakeholders.
Preferred background
- Hands-on experience with CRM or financial planning systems such as Salesforce, Redtail, or eMoney.
- Ability to work on your own and carry projects from idea to delivery with limited supervision.
- Confidence presenting analytical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Understanding of advisor payout grids and the economics of RIA/BD businesses.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $95,000 to $110,000. Actual pay may be higher or lower than this range, depending on education, credentials, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, and business needs. The company also offers a bonus program.
