About Pivot Analytics
Pivot Analytics works as a strategic data partner for CIOs and senior technology leaders at large, multi-billion-dollar businesses. The company goes beyond delivering Snowflake implementations by helping clients build internal data capability, upskill their teams, and achieve long-term business outcomes. Its work is trusted by major retail and FMCG organisations, and the team has been recognised as a Snowflake Emerging Partner while aiming to become Australia’s leading Snowflake implementation partner.
The company’s core stack includes Snowflake, dbt, AWS, PowerBI, and AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor.
What This Role Is About
This opportunity is suited to someone with around 2 to 3 years of data engineering experience who has already built strong fundamentals in a structured environment. You should be comfortable with SQL, have exposure to dimensional modelling, and be ready to take on more responsibility in projects that matter to enterprise clients.
In the early stage, you will contribute to client engagements as part of the wider team and learn the company’s approach to enterprise data engineering. As you grow, you may take ownership of smaller technical projects and support larger ones. Over time, the role can progress toward leading major client work, mentoring junior colleagues, and shaping how high-quality Snowflake delivery is done.
You will also work closely with an experienced technical architect who will help you develop not only technical delivery skills, but also the ability to build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
Day-to-day Focus
- Collaborate with client-side technical and business stakeholders.
- Support and train internal data teams at client organisations.
- Take responsibility for the quality and success of the solutions delivered.
- Build modern data solutions using medallion architecture, dbt, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
- Use AI development tools to improve speed and delivery quality.
What You Need
The role is built around strong core skills and the right mindset. The company is looking for someone who is technically solid, honest about what they still need to learn, and able to pick things up quickly.
Additional Information
This position is fully remote, but applicants must be based in Australia. The company is seeking someone who is comfortable in a small team environment, values accountability, and enjoys working on complex data problems for important clients.
