Role overview
Agência para o Clima is hiring a part-time, remote Data Insights Analyst at an entry level to help shape decisions for climate-focused work. In this position, you will support the team by preparing data, analyzing trends, and turning findings into practical takeaways that can guide projects and initiatives.
What you will do
- Gather datasets from both internal and external sources, then clean, structure, and maintain them for reliable use.
- Check data for quality, consistency, and completeness before it is used in reporting or analysis.
- Carry out foundational analysis to identify patterns, trends, and useful observations.
- Create straightforward reports and dashboards that summarize results for project teams.
- Help develop and update data models used for analysis and reporting.
- Document methods, assumptions, and analytical steps so work can be reviewed and repeated.
- Work with colleagues to convert analytical output into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Join regular virtual check-ins, keep pace with project schedules, and handle data responsibly with confidentiality in mind.
What we are looking for
- Good analytical ability and a solid starting point in data analysis for reading datasets and spotting trends.
- Basic statistics knowledge to support hypothesis testing, data checks, and result interpretation.
- Introductory exposure to data modeling concepts and how data is organized for analysis.
- Clear communication skills for sharing insights with both technical and non-technical audiences.
