Role Overview
Raptive is hiring a Data Scientist for its RevOps Data Science group in New York, NY. In this position, you’ll work with a substantial dataset to uncover insights that inform business decisions. The role calls for someone who is curious about how work gets done, enjoys improving processes, and can create practical solutions using a range of tools and technologies.
Your work will focus on turning large-scale data into actionable findings, designing useful metrics, answering complex business questions, and building solutions that are reliable and easy to repeat.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and evaluate experiments aimed at improving revenue outcomes.
- Develop classification approaches for audience and content to support direct and indirect programmatic sales.
- Provide guidance on floor pricing using a data-driven and iterative approach.
- Create visualizations that make complex systems easier to understand.
- Deepen the organization’s understanding of how its data is produced and behaves.
Required Background and Skills
- A graduate degree, or equivalent experience, in Statistics, Industrial Systems Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Working knowledge of real-time advertising markets.
- Experience handling large datasets with tools such as Snowflake, Hive, Presto, or BigQuery, along with scripting in Bash or Python and working in AWS environments.
- Familiarity with statistical and analytical tools such as NumPy, scikit-learn, and R.
- Exposure to modern classification and regression frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch, as well as methods like XGBoost and convolutional neural networks.
- Experience taking data science models into production and maintaining them using cloud services, containers, orchestration systems, or similar infrastructure.

Compensation
The stated annual base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $150,000. Actual pay may vary upward or downward depending on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, skills, and knowledge. This position is also eligible for additional incentive compensation beyond the base salary range.
