What the job involves

• Examine diamonds closely with microscopes and other lab instruments.
• Assess stones and assign grades according to established quality standards.
• Work alongside the jewelry design team so diamond selection aligns with design specifications.
• Keep accurate records related to quality checks and grading results.
• Continue learning and applying updated diamond grading methods.
• Coordinate with the training team to strengthen skills and improve expertise.

Skills and qualifications

• Hands-on ability with microscopes and laboratory equipment.
• Solid laboratory experience, especially in quality control work.
• Understanding of jewelry design and how it connects with diamond usage.
• Willingness to take part in training and professional upskilling.
• Sharp eye for detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Gemology or diamond-grading certification/training is an added advantage.
• A bachelor’s degree in Gemology, Jewelry Design, or a related discipline is preferred.
