Role overview
Surf Coast Shire Council is seeking a Digital Transformation Program Manager for a temporary full-time assignment of 3 months at its Torquay head office. The role sits within the Information Technology area and offers a salary range of $127,592 to $141,166 per year, paid pro rata, plus 12% superannuation.

In this position, you will guide a high-performing team responsible for delivering digital initiatives, business improvement work and organisational change that strengthen Council capability and improve service delivery. You will connect people, systems and processes across the organisation to deliver transformation that is well governed, effective and sustainable.

Mandatory requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification in project management, information technology, business, management or a related field, or equivalent experience in a comparable role. Qualification verification will be completed.
- Proven experience delivering digital transformation, business improvement, systems implementation or organisational change initiatives within agreed scope, timeframes and budgets.
- Strong project management delivery skills, including planning, governance, reporting, risk and issue control, budget monitoring, documentation, progress tracking, action coordination and management of multiple concurrent priorities.
- The ability to work strategically with business areas and stakeholders, convert business needs into practical delivery plans and support successful implementation and transition.
- Experience with procurement, vendor management and contract administration in technology, systems or service delivery environments.
- Well-developed communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to build effective working relationships, influence priorities, negotiate outcomes and lead change.
- Sound judgement, problem-solving capability and the ability to work under pressure while balancing competing priorities and risks.
- A current Working With Children Check.
- Permanent right to live and work in Australia.
- A police check suitable for the role, arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council. If the candidate has worked or lived overseas at any time, a complete international criminal history check is required; if they have only worked in Australia, a complete national criminal history check is required.

The position is temporary full time for 3 months. The salary is $127,592 to $141,166 per annum, pro rata, plus 12% superannuation.
