About the Role
Think Consulting is expanding as a strategy-and-execution partner for mid-market and enterprise clients tackling difficult, high-impact business problems. A larger portion of the firm’s work now sits at the point where technology intersects with the physical environment, including new facility buildouts, technology infrastructure rollouts, broadcast and AV integration, and multi-vendor capital programs that require architects, general contractors, engineers, integrators, and owners to stay aligned.
The company is looking for a Director who can operate comfortably at the crossroads of strategy, delivery, and client leadership. This role suits a seasoned consultant or operator who enjoys influencing executive decisions while staying close to execution and measurable results. Directors own client engagements, earn trust with senior leaders, help generate new business, and actively support delivery alongside client teams.
You will contribute directly to meaningful client outcomes while also helping shape the growth and direction of Think Consulting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead major strategy, transformation, and execution engagements, including technology-enabled capital programs and facility buildouts.
- Work directly with C-suite and senior executives to define priorities, align stakeholders, and improve business results.
- Own engagements from initial opportunity assessment and strategy creation through implementation and value capture.
- Advise clients on growth strategy, operating model design, organizational effectiveness, transformation, complex program delivery, and execution challenges.
- Stay hands-on in critical workstreams, support executive decision-making, and remove obstacles that slow progress.
- Create and manage PMOs, governance structures, master schedules, executive dashboards, and performance management systems.
- Coordinate complex multi-vendor programs across architects, general contractors, engineers, technology integrators, and internal client teams.
- Run cross-functional initiatives with many stakeholders, shifting priorities, and significant organizational change.
- Translate recommendations into action, accountability, and measurable outcomes.
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Spot opportunities to broaden client work and address additional needs.
- Contribute to business development through solution design, proposals, and client presentations.
- Represent Think Consulting as a partner that can both advise and deliver.
- Coach and mentor consultants, managers, and senior associates.
- Help build thought leadership, methods, and delivery capabilities, including the firm’s technical program delivery practice.
- Support the company’s culture, operating model, growth plans, recruiting, and talent development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, technology, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in consulting, strategy, transformation, operations, or similar leadership roles, with substantial exposure to technology or capital project delivery.
- Proven success leading complex client work and managing senior executive relationships.
- Ability to move fluidly between high-level strategic thinking and detailed, hands-on execution.
- Experience in one or more of these areas: technology infrastructure and systems integration programs; capital projects and built-environment delivery; business transformation; operating model design; growth and commercialization strategy; PMO and program leadership; organizational effectiveness; customer and operational performance improvement.
- Comfort working in design-build environments and alongside architects, general contractors, engineering teams, and technology integrators.
- Strong executive communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Experience guiding cross-functional teams through ambiguity, change, and competing priorities.
- Sound business judgment and the ability to influence without formal authority.
- Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to take ownership in a growing firm.
