Opportunity Overview

RBC is seeking an analytical, motivated person to support its Equity Research team in the role of Research Assistant. This position is geared toward someone who is eager to learn, detail-focused, and interested in financial markets and equity research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit expense claims through a web-based expense reporting tool.
  • Coordinate travel plans, calendars, and related materials for senior analysts.
  • Arrange meetings and conference calls with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Keep client information current in CRM systems.
  • Draft, edit, and format presentations, correspondence, and reports for internal and external audiences using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Build knowledge of internal rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Handle additional administrative tasks and project support for the equity research group as needed.
  • Look for operational risks and control gaps and raise them proactively.
  • Follow firm policies relevant to the role and day-to-day activities.
  • Report operational risk events, control deficiencies, and identified risks to the line manager and appropriate risk/control teams without delay.
