Role overview
The business is looking for a skilled and driven Extrusion Setter / Operator to join its Plastics Extrusion team. This position is practical, production-focused, and central to maintaining efficient output, consistent product quality, and safe day-to-day operations within extrusion.
You will report to the Die Setter Supervisor and take ownership of tasks such as changing tools, setting up production runs, resolving process issues, and contributing to improvement projects in a busy manufacturing setting.
Working hours
This role follows a Monday to Friday schedule on the afternoon shift, from 3:30pm to 12:00am.
Key duties
- Carry out die and tool changes in a safe and efficient manner.
- Prepare extrusion lines and support production start-ups.
- Track product quality and investigate issues affecting the process.
- Contribute to Lean Manufacturing, SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies), and broader continuous improvement work.
- Partner with production, maintenance, and technical teams to help keep the plant operating effectively.
What the role calls for

- Plastics extrusion qualifications at Level 2 or Level 3 are considered beneficial.
