Finishing Inspector

Overview

DEC Dynamic Studio LLC is looking to add a Finishing Inspector to its team in the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on quality control for architectural finishing activities across villa and building projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine finishing works such as flooring, wall treatments, ceilings, joinery, doors, windows, painting, waterproofing, and external finishes.
• Check that all completed work matches approved drawings, specifications, mock-ups, and project quality requirements.
• Evaluate contractor inspection requests and carry out inspections at different stages of finishing work.
• Spot defects and non-conformities, raise field observations, create snag lists, and track corrective actions through to closure.
• Inspect delivered finishing materials to confirm they align with approved submittals.
• Work closely with contractors, site engineers, and project teams to address quality concerns and uphold workmanship standards.
• Observe site operations to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and project rules.
• Document inspection findings, prepare reports, and keep photographic records of progress and identified issues.
• Support substantial completion and handover inspections, compile final snag lists, and confirm that the contractor has completed all close-out items.

Experience and Requirements

The ideal candidate must have proven hands-on experience on both villa and building projects. Experience with a consultant firm is required. Familiarity with local authority standards and inspection processes is also necessary.
