Role overview
King Communications and Security is hiring a commercially focused Fire & Security Estimator to support its expanding team. The position involves building precise cost estimates and coordinating tender submissions for fire alarm, CCTV, access control, intruder alarm, and integrated security work.
You will work alongside sales, engineering, and project delivery colleagues to help win new contracts and contribute to the smooth execution of projects across multiple sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for fire and security projects.
- Manage tender processes for fire alarm, CCTV, access control, intruder alarm, and integrated security installations.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to support bids and project handover.
- Contribute to securing new business through commercially sound pricing and tender preparation.
- Apply estimating tools and software effectively when preparing proposals.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in fire and security estimating.
- Solid working knowledge of fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems.
- Background in pricing or tendering construction and M&E projects.
- Ability to use estimating software confidently.
- Strong commercial judgement, with good analytical and communication ability.

Work location
This is an office-based, in-person role in Coatbridge, Scotland, United Kingdom.
Compensation
The salary for this position is £35,000 to £45,000 per year.
