About Pyka
Pyka is working to make transportation safer, cleaner, and more affordable through autonomous electric aircraft. The company takes a broader approach than most by applying its technology across industries where autonomous flight can deliver the greatest value, especially in demanding and high-risk use cases.
Its technology stack includes proprietary flight control software, avionics, high power density motors, motor controllers, batteries, and custom carbon-fiber composite airframes. Pyka currently serves cargo transport and crop protection customers across four continents and has earned industry-first approvals from the FAA.
The company’s cargo aircraft helps connect remote areas, supports express delivery networks, and enables fast transport of critical goods. Its crop protection aircraft gives farmers and agricultural service providers a safer, more precise, and lower-impact way to perform aerial application, while also reducing CO2 emissions. The work done at Pyka is intended to create real-world impact today while moving electric aviation forward.
Role Overview
Pyka is looking for a highly organized and proactive Global Supply Manager to own procurement, sourcing, and supplier management across its international supply chain. This is a key role during a phase of fast growth, with responsibility for helping build a supply chain that is durable, scalable, and ready to support aircraft production.
You will work with global contract manufacturers to source dependable components, secure strong commercial terms, and shape long-term supply chain strategy. The role requires close coordination with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure materials arrive when needed, meet strict standards, and support Pyka’s mission of delivering safe, clean, and cost-effective autonomous aviation worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Handle core procurement activities such as requesting quotes, negotiating prices, managing minimum order quantities, setting payment terms, tracking inventory levels, creating purchase orders, and overseeing open and planned orders.
- Build and sustain productive supplier partnerships that improve quality, reliability, and delivery performance while resolving issues quickly.
- Work with production, engineering, and customer service teams to plan incoming material deliveries so production schedules and customer commitments are supported and shortages are reduced.
- Manage engineering and manufacturing change orders within ERP/MRP and any other procurement, inventory, or production tracking systems.
- Monitor supplier performance through monthly metrics and KPIs covering delivery, quality, and cost, and participate in quarterly business reviews.
- Coordinate with suppliers on RMAs and NCRs, ensuring quality concerns are addressed promptly and working with internal teams to disposition items under review or affected by design changes.
- Keep master data accurate, including pricing, lead times, standard costs, and inventory levels, and analyze part, commodity, and supplier data to support procurement decisions.
- Create and improve procurement workflows in ERP/MRP systems and help establish robust, scalable supply chain processes as the organization expands.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with internal stakeholders and freight forwarders.
- Ensure all shipments comply with applicable local and international trade regulations, including tariffs, quotas, and country-specific import and export requirements.
- Support the broader Supply Chain team and the rest of the organization with import and export activities.
- Assist with inventory management and material handling in the stock room when needed.
- Help build processes for scheduling and tracking procurement, logistics, and stock room or warehouse activities inside the ERP/MRP system.
- Evaluate current logistics workflows and recommend improvements that raise efficiency and lower cost.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment in a supply chain role involving complex mechanical or electromechanical assemblies.
- A strong record of managing everyday procurement, logistics, and related responsibilities.
- Hands-on experience working with contract manufacturers in China and Mexico at both the component and assembly levels.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration, time management, and prioritization abilities.
- Solid understanding of supply chain operations, including supplier evaluation, quality assurance, and risk management.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and the workflows that support procurement and logistics.
- Experience operating within a Quality Management System.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in electromechanical products, robotics, autonomous hardware, defense, aerospace, automotive, high-tech, or a similar industry.
- Experience implementing ERP-related supply chain and logistics tools such as supplier portals or warehouse management systems.
- Ability to contribute in multiple ways, including hands-on individual contributor work while also supporting or managing a small team.
- Experience in both large-company environments and startup settings.
- Pyka notes that candidates are not expected to meet every qualification to be considered.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base pay of $125,000 to $180,000, plus equity. Final compensation depends on location, role-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and the range may change over time.
- Employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- FSA with employer matching.
- 401(k) plan.
- Paid holidays, generous PTO, and additional unpaid time off.
- Optional short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance.
- Pre-tax commuter benefits.
- Free catered lunch and snacks.

This position involves access to technology, software, and other information subject to government access-control restrictions because of export-control rules. Continued employment depends on the ongoing availability of required government authorization to access such items, including any needed export license or other proof of authorization.
The company may delay the start date, withdraw an offer, end employment, or adjust job duties, pay, benefits, and/or access to company facilities and systems as needed to remain compliant with applicable government access-control restrictions.
