Belton Parks and Recreation is hiring part-time Grounds Crew staff to support the upkeep and operation of park and recreation ballfields in Barren Grounds, New South Wales, Australia. This position involves a mix of basic and more hands-on maintenance work in outdoor field conditions.

Duties and work scope
The role centers on maintaining ballfields and related park areas, helping with routine grounds upkeep, operating landscaping and maintenance equipment, and completing assigned tasks according to the daily schedule.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Familiarity with the tools, materials, and supplies commonly used for building and grounds upkeep.
- Basic understanding of minor repair supplies, first aid practices, and safety precautions.
- Ability to operate the tools and equipment associated with the job.
- Capacity to work on your own and complete daily tasks on schedule.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items, walk and stand for extended periods, and carry out demanding labor in difficult field conditions.
- Good oral and written communication skills, along with safe and proper use of equipment and tools.
- Ability to read, follow, and pass on written and spoken instructions accurately.
- Ability to build productive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
- Awareness of relevant federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills.
- Experience operating lawn and landscaping machinery such as gators, edgers, weed trimmers, blowers, electric motors, pumps, sprinklers, and irrigation systems, plus hand and power tools used in turf care and janitorial equipment such as power washers, vacuums, mops, brooms, and dusting tools.
