About the Role
Join a well-established equipment rental business and build your career in a fast-paced customer-facing environment. This position suits someone who enjoys working with tools and equipment and helping customers find the right solution for DIY, gardening, construction, and trade projects.
Key Duties
- Develop and maintain customer relationships over the phone and face to face.
- Take rental bookings, process payments, and keep the related paperwork in order.
- Support the smooth everyday operation of a busy trade counter.
- Guide customers on correct equipment usage and demonstrate items when needed.
- Carry out retail sales and merchandising, while keeping stock levels healthy.
- Work with the transport team to coordinate equipment availability and on-time deliveries.
- Keep the work area tidy, well organised, and safe.
- Make sure delivery agreements are completed, signed, and returned.
- Follow up with customers to confirm delivery and collection arrangements.
- Handle general administrative duties connected to transport.
What You Need
You should bring experience from a similar role, along with practical knowledge of tools and small plant equipment. The role calls for someone with strong organisation, close attention to detail, excellent communication, a customer-first mindset, and the confidence to take ownership of tasks. Good computer ability is important, as is the capacity to stay effective under pressure in a busy office environment.

Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am to 5:00pm
Friday: 7:30am to 4:00pm
One Saturday every 4 weeks: 7:45am to 12:00pm

Salary
Pay is dependent on experience.
