Junior Compounder, Flavors

Role overview

This position is for a hands-on production role in the flavors business, supporting the creation of products used in everyday consumer goods. The workplace is in Chin Bee, Singapore, and the role is carried out onsite.

Key duties

• Assist with production activities such as simple equipment and tank cleaning, handling materials, and packing finished output.
• Support tank charging, blending/compounding work, and in-process quality checks while working under supervision.
• Use HMI interfaces and production machinery after the required training.
• Carry out packing operations and transport materials with PIVs, with training and licensing arranged where needed.
• Follow safety rules, GMP requirements, and internal quality procedures without exception.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly, and help with basic equipment upkeep under 6S practices.
• Take part in improvement initiatives and complete other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Candidate profile

• Education at Secondary, ITE, or Diploma level in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Some familiarity with GMP manufacturing and common process instrumentation will be helpful.
• Comfort using basic office software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to work well both alone and with others, along with basic English communication skills.
• Physically capable of handling loads up to 25 kg on your own.
• Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, or night shifts when operational needs require it.

• Prior exposure to chemical, food, or pharmaceutical environments.
• Forklift or reach truck certification is an added advantage.
