Responsibilities

• Gather, sort, wash, dry, fold, and hand out linens and residents’ clothing.
• Use laundry machines and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Keep simple records related to laundry work and alert a supervisor to equipment concerns or safety issues.
• Follow infection-control procedures and universal precautions to maintain a clean and sanitary setting.
• Communicate courteously with residents, staff, and visitors while delivering strong customer service.
• Complete any additional duties assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior laundry experience is an advantage, but not mandatory.
• Maintain a constructive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals and products.
• Able to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of performing routine, repetitive tasks on a daily basis.
• Residency within the service area is required.
