Role overview
As a Live Planner, you will support Live Operations by turning data into actionable insight, uncovering process gaps and root causes, and helping improve planning performance. The role also contributes to monthly reporting, executive presentations, development of analytics tools, and backup support for Live Supply Chain Planning across Pilgrim’s locations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide backup support to the Live Planner and Systems Analyst.
- Support broiler supply chain activities, including egg and chick movement tracking.
- Own data management and analysis for live operations.
- Work across breeders, broilers, hatcheries, feed mill, live supply, veterinary services, and nutritional services.
- Help connect and streamline systems such as MTech, Concept 5, SAP, BetaRaven, and other industry tools.
- Use business intelligence tools like Qlik View and Qlik Sense to mine data for improvement opportunities.
- Partner with IT, Live Project Owners, Tech Services, Live Managers, business unit leaders, and Sales.
- Build strategic supply plans at the complex, business-unit, and enterprise levels.
- Identify and communicate opportunities by business unit and complex.
- Support enhancements to live analytics that drive organizational growth.
- Prepare monthly analysis, reports, and presentations for executive review.
- Provide support to Pilgrim’s locations and travel as needed.
Education and experience
This position requires a high school diploma or GED. A college degree in business, supply chain management, or analytics is preferred. The role typically calls for 2 years of experience in live supply chain planning or data analytics. Microsoft Office experience is required, while MTech and SAP experience are preferred.
Skills and capabilities
Strong communication skills, solid data analysis ability, and practical problem-solving are important for success in this role. The position also requires comfort working with multiple systems, reporting tools, and cross-functional teams.

- Base pay is approximately $96,491.70 per year, with variation based on experience.
- This role is eligible for the company’s annual bonus program, subject to the standard plan terms and conditions.

Additional requirements and conditions
The selected candidate must be able to work from any Pilgrim’s location or be willing to relocate. Some travel is required. New hires are subject to drug, alcohol, and background checks after an offer and before starting work. Employment verification must be completed by the end of the third day of work.
