Shift schedule

This position follows a Monday to Wednesday schedule plus alternate Thursdays. Working hours are 12-hour shifts under a rotating 4-on / 3-off and 3-on / 4-off pattern.

Role overview

The Material Handler 2 role supports day-to-day warehouse activities in a high-paced environment. The focus is on moving materials safely, accurately, and within required timelines. This position suits someone with practical warehouse experience who is ready for greater ownership, collaboration, and support for process improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Handle receiving, dispatch, inventory control, and production support tasks.
• Use material handling equipment such as pallet trucks, reach trucks, and forklifts.
• Process shipping, receiving, and cycle count transactions in ERP and WMS systems.
• Identify and resolve routine issues related to stock, shipping, and incoming goods.
• Manage inbound and outbound freight coordination, including international shipments.
• Use Excel at a basic to intermediate level for records, tracking, and reports.
• Contribute to improvement efforts and help facilitate daily team huddles.
• Support onboarding by training new team members.
• Assist with prioritizing tasks and planning the team workload.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in warehouse operations or material handling.
• Hands-on experience with ERP or WMS platforms.
• Previous use of electric-powered material handling equipment.
• Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Strong communication, numeracy, and troubleshooting skills.
