Operations Manager

Role overview

CXC Upstream Ltd is hiring an experienced Operations Manager to coordinate the company’s international day-to-day operations. In this position, you will work alongside senior leaders to make sure projects, corporate programs, and operational work are executed smoothly across offices and mining sites.

The role is broad in scope and suits someone who is well structured, commercially aware, and able to juggle several priorities across different parts of the business. You will serve as a key link between corporate teams, operational leaders, and outside partners, helping the group maintain consistency, accountability, and ongoing improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operational work across the group and ensure priorities are completed on schedule and to a strong standard.
• Create, roll out, and refine operational procedures, policies, and standard operating practices.
• Track important projects, monitor progress, risks, and action items, and provide timely updates to senior leadership.
• Support collaboration between corporate functions and mining operations to improve communication and delivery.
• Handle relationships with major suppliers, consultants, and service providers while maintaining quality, performance, and value.
• Spot opportunities to improve efficiency, lower costs, and strengthen internal controls.
• Arrange executive travel, logistics, and operational support across the group’s international locations as needed.
• Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and management information to aid decision-making.
• Ensure work follows internal governance requirements, health and safety standards, and relevant regulatory obligations.
• Contribute to strategic projects, acquisitions, business integration work, and other corporate priorities when required.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in an Operations Manager role or a similar business operations position.
• Background in mining, natural resources, infrastructure, aviation, logistics, or another complex international operating environment is preferred.
• Strong planning and coordination abilities with the capacity to manage several priorities at once.
• Commercial mindset with a proactive, practical approach to solving problems.
• Experience building operational processes and supporting continuous improvement.
• Confident stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively at all levels of an organisation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
• Advanced Microsoft Office capability, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel internationally when needed.
