Role overview

Amazon is looking for an Operations Manager / Senior Operations Manager to support network operations across multiple sites. The role is focused on building strong operational execution, improving customer experience, and helping teams deliver consistent results at scale. Key responsibilities

• Own the design and execution of operating processes spanning fulfillment centers, sortation hubs, and last-mile delivery locations.
• Hire, train, and develop a motivated workforce for sort hubs, partnering with HR and training teams to meet city-level operational needs and Amazon’s quality and productivity standards.
• Maintain sufficient operational capacity to handle peak-period demand.
• Work with Finance, Delivery Stations, fulfillment centers, and Project teams on city operations matters.
• Review team performance, carry out appraisals, and coach team members to run operations effectively.
• Improve existing processes by raising quality, cutting waste, and removing unnecessary work.
• Study reports and operational data to find bottlenecks and strengthen performance.
• Lead regional initiatives linked to safety, engagement, network speed, and cost control.
• Run daily stand-ups, weekly business reviews, monthly business reviews, and peak readiness discussions.
• Use data-driven improvement methods such as Kaizen and continuous improvement practices.
• Finalize labor plans for the site so cost is optimized without compromising performance or associate experience.
• Coach other operations managers, promote a culture of continuous improvement, and benchmark best practices with site and regional leaders as well as central teams.

Experience and qualification criteria

Applicants should have at least 4 years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain roles.

The minimum qualification is a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification. Candidates with at least 2 years of Amazon blue badge/FTE experience may also be considered.

Team leadership and performance management experience of 3 years or more is required.

Experience of 1 year or more in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean methods is preferred.
