Procurement Engineer

Role Overview

The Procurement Engineer will oversee the technical and commercial side of sourcing materials and equipment for projects in Riyadh. The role focuses on ensuring every requirement is fulfilled on schedule, stays within budget, and meets high quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the complete procurement cycle for construction materials, equipment, and related services.
• Examine technical specifications and drawings to determine material needs and verify compliance with project requirements.
• Identify, assess, and negotiate with local and overseas suppliers to obtain strong pricing and workable terms.
• Draft and release purchase orders and oversee agreements with subcontractors.
• Work in coordination with engineering and site teams so deliveries match project timelines.
• Conduct market scanning to monitor pricing movements and find dependable new vendors.
• Keep procurement documentation accurate, including logs, tracking files, and progress reports.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, such as Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or a related discipline, is required.
• Working knowledge of procurement principles and best practices is expected.
• Strong communication abilities are important.
• Good negotiation and problem-solving capabilities are needed.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.
• Excellent command of English is required.
