Key responsibilities

• Help identify high-value strategic suppliers and collect quotations.
• Draft and circulate requests for quotation.
• Lead support activities for supplier contract discussion and closure, with strong awareness of commercial terms.
• Evaluate supplier offers across pricing, delivery schedules, and payment conditions.
• Compile comparison charts and statements for management decision-making.
• Create and move purchase orders through the process.
• Track supplier acknowledgements and delivery progress.
• Assist with vendor onboarding and prequalification activities.
• Follow internal procurement rules and standards.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing procurement costs.
• Handle routine issues related to suppliers or delivery delays.

Qualifications and experience

The preferred candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and bring 8 to 10 years of experience in procurement or purchasing. A working understanding of procurement processes is required. Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle will be considered an added advantage. Strong proficiency in MS Office is also expected.
