Purchasing Coordinator

Role Overview

A hospitality venue in Dubai is seeking a well-organized Purchasing Coordinator to support the Finance & Operations function. The position suits someone who is detail-focused, comfortable working with multiple stakeholders, and interested in procurement within a fast-moving restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Source food, beverage, and operational supplies in line with business needs and approved budgets.
• Coordinate with chefs, bar staff, and department leaders to understand and fulfill purchasing demands.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate rates, and identify backup vendors when needed.
• Check incoming deliveries carefully to confirm quality, quantity, and freshness standards are met.
• Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts, while monitoring inventory levels and storage practices.
• Keep purchasing records accurate, process supplier invoices, and update internal databases promptly.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory control, preferably in hospitality or restaurant operations.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage items as well as restaurant supplies; background in fine dining or high-volume venues is an advantage.
• A calm, dependable team player who can stay effective in a busy, pressurized setting.
• Good with technology, with strong Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with purchasing systems.
• Experience in Dubai’s hospitality sector will be considered a strong plus.
