About the Property
Shangri-La Jeddah is located on the new Jeddah Waterfront beside the Red Sea and offers a luxury hospitality experience with sea-facing design, spacious interiors, family-friendly facilities, and distinctive dining options.

Role Overview
The Reservation Agent supports guest satisfaction by managing bookings efficiently, maximizing reservation opportunities, and handling telephone sales for Food & Beverage outlets. The role also requires carrying out additional duties as assigned by management.
Key Duties
- Develop a strong understanding of the room inventory, including layouts, features, amenities, and guest benefits, so the right room can be matched to each need.
- Stay fully informed about hotel rates, especially public offers, and present the value of each offer clearly during the sales process.
- Keep up to date on the hotel’s facilities and services and actively promote them to potential bookers.
- Remain aware of product updates and any new developments across the property.
- Represent the Shangri-La service culture through a positive attitude, strong team spirit, and consistently high service standards.
- Manage reservation enquiries and correspondence, then confirm or decline requests according to the current Availability, Rates & Inventory strategy, while ensuring quick response times.
- Handle telephone-based sales and reservations for all Food & Beverage outlets.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of hotel industry experience is required.
- Ability to work extended hours and rotating shifts.
- Strong written and spoken English is required, along with Arabic language ability.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Word.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational discipline.
- Genuine commitment to excellent customer service.
- Professional telephone etiquette and strong communication ability.
- Solid administrative skills and intermediate computer proficiency.
- College-level education is required.
- Flexibility to cover different shifts as needed.
- Prior experience in reservations is an advantage.
- Ability to work well in a team and coordinate with other departments to meet guest needs.
