About One New Zealand

One New Zealand is focused on creating a more strongly connected Aotearoa New Zealand. The company is investing heavily in its people, learning culture, and career growth so that team members can develop, lead, and help shape the future. Its goal is to become the world’s most AI-enabled telecom provider, with support such as an internal AI School, access to advanced learning platforms, and growth pathways that evolve with employees.

The organisation values people, diversity of thought, and a workplace where curiosity and capability can grow. It is also proudly Rainbow Tick certified.

Role Overview

As Salesforce Tech Lead for Platforms & Agentforce, you will guide dependable, scalable Salesforce delivery across the One New Zealand platform environment. Your work will focus on release governance, strengthening CI/CD, defining environment strategy, and keeping deployments stable across important components such as Agent Console, CPQ, Product Catalogue, and XOM/COM.

You will also lead the design and enablement of Agentforce and Data Cloud capabilities to improve connected customer and operational experiences. This position requires strong technical leadership across platform engineering and release design, close collaboration with squads and design authority, and a practical focus on improving DevOps maturity, release quality, and standard working practices. The role also supports the responsible use of AI tools to improve delivery while maintaining governance, stability, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Agentforce and Data Cloud components.
  • Define release governance and the standards for being ready to deploy across Salesforce component streams, including parallel release paths.
  • Improve DevOps practices by refining branching strategy, lowering code divergence, and increasing the stability of parallel development.
  • Shape the CI/CD and deployment model, including delta or differential deployment methods where appropriate.
  • Set environment strategy and release-readiness practices such as sandbox alignment, release runbooks, and rollback planning.
  • Put in place operational controls that link release processes with platform hygiene, auditability, and evidence of change.
  • Work with the platform design authority so solutions are deployable and non-functional requirements are treated as core requirements.
  • Coach squads on strong release habits and consistent use of standard tools and processes.
  • Review seasonal Salesforce releases, identify regression impacts, and incorporate new features into One NZ environments.
  • Encourage the adoption of AI tools and help embed them into day-to-day ways of working.

Requirements

  • Established experience with Salesforce Communications Cloud or core Salesforce platform components, plus at least one Salesforce certification or equivalent relevant training.
  • Strong background in Salesforce release management and CI/CD best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce seasonal releases, including regression testing scope and enabling new features.
  • Practical experience with Agentforce, including agent build work and integration with Data Cloud.
  • Ability to define and enforce design standards, architectural guardrails, and traceable decision-making.
  • Experience with integration approaches, API governance, data movement, and cross-system dependencies.
  • Sound understanding of Salesforce security models, including roles, permissions, audit controls, and risk-conscious design.
  • Proven technical leadership skills, including mentoring teams and embedding strong working practices.
  • Experience using and governing AI-enabled development tools in enterprise settings while preserving compliance and platform stability.

Benefits

  • Flexibility in many roles to work from home and adjust hours to suit work and whānau commitments.
  • Fully subsidised Southern Cross health insurance for you and your family.
  • Lifestyle leave with the option to buy an extra one or two weeks of annual leave.
  • Discounts on One New Zealand products, services, and more.
