Senior Software Engineer (Front-End)

Role overview

Pushpay is looking for a senior frontend engineer to help shape the platform behind its next wave of products. This position is focused less on feature delivery alone and more on building the underlying systems, standards, and architecture that other teams can rely on for years.

The organization is in the middle of a major frontend transformation: legacy applications are being modernized, the stack is moving toward React and TypeScript, shared design system capabilities are expanding, and a centralized frontend portal is being created for multiple engineering teams to integrate with.

In this role, you will design and deliver strong software solutions while also improving the quality, clarity, and speed of the engineers around you. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and engineering peers to create scalable, user-centered experiences and help guide the future of the frontend platform.

Key focus areas

• Address complex structural issues and create systems that help other developers work more efficiently.
• Set architecture, patterns, and standards that become the foundation for other teams.
• Contribute to decisions that will shape the frontend direction over the long term.
• Work on challenging technical problems that combine engineering depth with product thinking.
• Support software that affects how millions of users interact with the platform.
• Lead the transition from older frontend codebases to a modern React-based ecosystem.
• Improve maintainability, performance, and developer experience through modernization efforts.
• Grow a shared component library and design system used across several product teams.
• Help build a centralized frontend portal and define the integration approach for domain teams.
• Deliver robust, production-ready applications that release frequently and create business value.
• Review code, mentor colleagues, and contribute to engineering practices and standards.

Technology environment

• React and TypeScript form the core of the modern frontend architecture.
• Node.js services support frontend experiences and integrations.

• CI/CD pipelines support frequent and dependable releases.
• Code reviews and design discussions are part of everyday work.
