Role Overview

The company is hiring experienced Site Engineers to join its expanding team in Perth. Reporting to the Project Manager, this position offers the chance to work alongside an experienced group and develop further within the civil construction sector.

The current project portfolio includes bulk earthworks, land development, and civil infrastructure across the Perth metropolitan area. In this role, you will collaborate with the project team, site supervisor, and wider business stakeholders to help deliver successful project and organisational outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Use engineering drawings and specifications to guide supervisors, project engineers, and HSE advisers on project-related risks, including quality, safety, time, budget, and other concerns.
  • Support the preparation of early-stage project programmes.
  • Set up inspection and test plans along with other quality assurance requirements.
  • Work with the project management team to ensure the technical information and support needed to meet the production schedule is in place.
  • Spot scope changes and possible variation opportunities, then measure, price, and report them to the Project Manager or Engineer as needed.
  • Measure, document, and verify quantities such as asphalt, kerbing, and footpaths against estimates, then submit findings to the project management team for review.
  • Assist the supervisor in managing day-to-day site activity and monitoring practical implementation of the TMP.
  • Be prepared to complete site inductions and contribute to JSEA preparation.

Requirements

  • A degree in engineering, preferably civil engineering.
  • A WA driver’s licence, with manual transmission experience preferred.
  • Full rights to work in Australia.
  • Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical examination and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative.
  • Comfort working without close supervision.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to collaborate well in a team environment.
