Role Overview
This position is for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer supporting production systems in a 24×7 environment. The role centers on observability, operational excellence, alerting, and reliability engineering for enterprise-scale services.
Core Experience
The ideal candidate should bring at least 5 years of practical experience in SRE, observability, or production operations, with strong exposure to always-on environments. Hands-on expertise is expected across Dynatrace, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, log management platforms, and service management tools such as SNOW, JIRA, and Confluence.
Observability and Reliability Work
You will be expected to contribute to service-level objectives and service-level indicators, shape alerting strategies, and reduce operational toil. The role also requires building alert enrichment, correlating signals, and routing incidents into ticketing and ChatOps workflows.
Automation and Runbooks
Strong runbook development skills are important, along with the ability to design safe auto-remediation routines using shell scripting, Python, Ansible, or PowerShell. Experience with feature flags and safeguards for controlled remediation is also required.
Infosys Delivery Expectations
As part of the delivery team, you will work with clients on quality assurance and issue resolution while maintaining strong customer satisfaction. The role also involves gathering requirements, reviewing designs, validating architecture, and supporting high service quality for technology solutions.
You may also take part in project estimation, provide input for solution delivery, carry out technical risk planning, and review code as well as unit test plans. In addition, you will guide teams toward efficient, high-quality outputs while following organizational standards and knowledge-management practices.
