Overview

An elite FinTech business is hiring an SRE / Linux Platform Engineer in Singapore. This position sits at the intersection of Linux systems engineering and site reliability engineering, with a focus on low-latency Linux environments. The compensation range for this role is SGD 120,000 to SGD 250,000.

Role summary

You will be responsible for creating, designing, and maintaining automated solutions that support scalable deployments across both private and public cloud platforms. The work blends project-based delivery with business-as-usual support, and a strong preference is placed on automation wherever it can improve reliability, speed, and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Engineer and support Linux platform solutions for a low-latency production estate.
• Design automation to enable scalable deployments across cloud and infrastructure environments.
• Contribute to both project work and operational BAU activities.
• Improve infrastructure reliability and efficiency through scripting and automation.
• Work across private and public cloud systems as needed.

Technical requirements

The role calls for hands-on experience with Linux and configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible. Practical exposure to Kubernetes and container platforms such as Docker or Podman is also important. You should be comfortable with CI/CD practices and able to use Python for automation and platform engineering tasks.

Desired experience

Additional useful knowledge includes infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Pulumi, or Bicep, along with familiarity in disaster recovery, block or blob storage, and high-performance computing environments.
