Role Overview
This position supports a child welfare visitation program by safely transporting children and parents to and from visit locations, while helping maintain a stable, family-centered environment. Compensation and Schedule
The hourly pay for this role is $16.19. The job includes a hybrid arrangement that combines remote case-management work with on-site or office visits for transportation duties. Mileage reimbursement is available.

Key Duties
- Transport children and/or parents to visitation appointments and return them safely.
- Supervise youth during transportation and ensure contract requirements are followed.
- Keep passengers safe at all times and maintain the assigned vehicle in proper condition.
- Complete and preserve the required records and logs.
- Communicate regularly with visitation specialists, parents, resource parents, and children.
- Attend required training sessions.
- Build and sustain communication with families in a culturally responsive way, using the family’s preferred language when possible and respecting faith and cultural considerations.
- Help ensure visitation settings are safe, supportive, and conducive to healthy parent-child attachment.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of direct experience working with at-risk youth in juvenile justice or residential settings. An associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or master’s degree may replace two years of professional experience. Candidates must use their own vehicle for transporting youth and parents and must satisfy the employer’s auto insurance requirements for business use. A valid safe-driving history, the ability to follow directions, adherence to safety rules, a flexible schedule, and the ability to pass a drug screen are also required.
About the Program
The Supportive Visitation Program serves children who have been temporarily removed from their homes because of abuse or neglect. The program provides a safe, home-like setting where children can visit with their parents and work toward maintaining family relationships. Services are delivered in the least restrictive environment that still protects safety, with support that can include assessment, supervised visitation, aftercare support after reunification, transportation, and documentation.
