About the role

This leadership role is responsible for guiding several R&D teams building a suite of enterprise-class and cloud-scale products. The ideal candidate is an experienced R&D leader who enjoys creating and running cloud-native, highly distributed systems used by millions of users in a SaaS environment, with strong command over agile delivery and the ability to drive a high-performing engineering organization.

What you will do

  • Lead engineering teams made up of development and QA professionals, while handling people-related responsibilities such as hiring, performance reviews, mentoring, and promotions.
  • Take ownership of the design, development, and release of the components assigned to your team.
  • Partner with the Product Owner and Software Architect to plan product development work.
  • Serve as Scrum Master for the engineering team.
  • Work with the scrum team to encourage effective engineering practices and continuous improvement.
  • Stay hands-on with development work, review code, and help maintain strong engineering and quality standards, including test automation and unit testing.
  • Contribute to leadership discussions around release planning and product direction.
  • Act as the engineering point of contact for product defect handling and support-related questions.
