About the Role
Tealium is hiring a Technical Lead, Implementation Engineer for its Professional Services organization. This is a customer-facing role focused on technical implementation, solution design, and strategic advisory work that helps enterprise clients get value from the Tealium product suite. You will lead complex deployments, resolve technical issues, and help deliver measurable outcomes across customer environments.
This position calls for someone who can work independently, use AI and modern tools effectively, make data-driven decisions, adapt quickly, and collaborate well across internal teams and customer stakeholders. You will work closely with clients across the EMEA/MENA region and partner with the UK-based regional team. This is a Professional Services position, not a software engineering role. The company prefers a candidate based in or near Dubai to support regular in-person collaboration and regional travel.
Implementation and Technical Delivery
- Own the hands-on setup, configuration, deployment, and validation of Tealium products such as iQ, AudienceStream, EventStream, DataAccess, Insights, and related tools, with most work carried out through the product interface.
- Maintain an active on-site presence during implementations and project delivery to strengthen customer engagement and visibility.
- Create and troubleshoot efficient JavaScript for tag management, data layer enrichment, and server-side functionality.
- Diagnose front-end problems involving JavaScript tags, APIs, mobile SDKs, and data mismatches at the network level.
- Apply strong data practices for event tracking, identity resolution, data visualization, segmentation, and audience activation.
- Build custom attributes and capabilities that help customers create richer visitor profiles for advanced segmentation, modeling, and AI use cases.
- Connect Tealium with marketing and analytics ecosystems such as Google tools, Adobe tools, Meta, Salesforce, Snowflake, and Databricks, using mainly prebuilt connectors and in-product configuration.
- Evaluate customer data sources across websites, mobile apps, warehouses, call centers, and other systems, then configure the needed inbound flows and workflows into Tealium.
Consulting and Strategy
- Work with customers to translate business goals into practical data strategy and solution architecture.
- Advise on customer data architecture, tag governance, and privacy-conscious data collection methods.
- Participate in on-site customer sessions when required.
- Contribute to planning workshops and strategic discussions with client teams.
- Spot opportunities to expand adoption and create additional value across the Tealium platform.
- Stay current on how AI is influencing martech and help customers prepare data foundations for AI-driven personalization, insights, and automation.
Regional Collaboration
- Work independently while supporting regional customers and coordinating with the local team for training, escalations, and planning.
- Use project and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Zoom, and Slack to keep communication clear and consistent.
- Represent Tealium professionally and with cultural awareness across a diverse customer base.
Internal Contribution
- Contribute to knowledge bases, playbooks, and customer-facing documentation.
- Share lessons learned from customer work to improve internal tools, processes, and delivery methods.
- Take part in peer reviews, team stand-ups, and cross-functional initiatives within Professional Services and Solutions Engineering.
- Show strong accountability, initiative, and resourcefulness by working independently, using AI and modern workflows well, making evidence-based decisions, adapting to changing technologies, and collaborating across functions to produce strong customer and business results.
Experience and Qualifications
The role asks for 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience with Tealium’s full product suite or similar digital marketing technology, plus at least 5 years of experience in client-facing technical implementation, solutions engineering, or martech consulting. Regional travel is required to support customers and business operations.
Strong technical knowledge is needed in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and debugging tools such as Postman, Chrome DevTools, and proxy tools like Charles or Fiddler. Candidates should understand data layers, tag management systems, and event-based architecture, and have worked with digital analytics and marketing platforms such as Adobe Analytics, GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Amplitude.
Experience with journey orchestration and marketing orchestration platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Adobe Experience Platform, Bloomreach, and MoEngage is also expected. Familiarity with REST APIs, server-side tracking, mobile SDKs, and data enrichment is important. Exposure to privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA, and to consent management platforms, is preferred. Experience with data warehouses, SQL, BI tools, and dashboarding/visualization platforms such as Amazon QuickSight is an added advantage.
Excellent written and spoken English is required, and Arabic fluency is highly preferred. The ideal candidate should be autonomous, self-driven, and comfortable working remotely across time zones. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
Compensation
The position is full time and offers a base salary range of AED 440,000 to AED 550,000 per year. Final compensation depends on job-related skills, experience, and qualifications. The role may also include a performance bonus and equity options.
