About the Role
The City of Belleville is seeking a proactive and organized Transit Supervisor to join its Transportation and Operations Services Department. In this permanent, full-time position, you will lead and support bus operators, oversee daily transit activities, and help ensure the city’s public transportation service runs safely, efficiently, and in line with required standards.
Belleville, Ontario, offers a mix of waterfront living, cultural attractions, nearby wine country, and convenient access to major destinations. The role is based at 400 Coleman Street and 165 Pinnacle Street in Belleville.
Position Details
This is a non-union permanent full-time role with one opening. The schedule is 40 hours per week and includes a rotating on-call requirement. The file number for this position is SV26-75.
Salary is Grade 8, ranging from $107,520.24 to $128,001.65 per year. The closing date for applications is Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 4:30 PM.
What You’ll Do
The Transit Supervisor reports to the Manager, Transit Operations and is responsible for guiding bus operators, monitoring transit service on the street, and coordinating operations to meet service expectations.
The role also includes dispatch oversight, addressing operator and customer concerns, supporting planning and process improvements, and helping maintain safe and reliable transit service.
