About the Role
ManpowerGroup is a global leader in workforce solutions, dedicated to transforming organizations by managing talent and connecting individuals with meaningful employment. We are seeking a Transport Coordinator for a 1-year contract position, extendable, based in Chennai, India, working on a third-party payroll.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate deliveries from PBU to the Port of Loading with Vessel Coordinators and Stevedores.
- Manage SAP updates based on stakeholder requests, adhering to defined processes, particularly within the SAP MM module.
- Generate Purchase Orders in SAP, converting Purchase Requisitions based on TMS Bookings.
- Address workflow issues and resolve problems related to parked and blocked invoices for transport services.
- Maintain and update shipment creation and route data in SAP according to business needs.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Communicate effectively with internal customers and stakeholders regarding process-related matters.
- Engage proactively with global internal stakeholders for transport-related tasks.
- Contribute to achieving the promised service levels for the business.
- Generate Management Information System (MIS) reports.
- Reconcile Goods Receipt (GR) and Invoice Receipt (IR), and follow up on parked/blocked invoices.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Possess knowledge and practical experience in customs clearance, including import and export procedures.
- Assist logistics team stakeholders in enhancing the efficiency of the logistics value chain.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics functions with business systems and processes.
- Develop initial end-to-end shipping plans in SAP and maintain continuous status updates with stakeholders on the carriage leg loading at the Port of Discharge with the Stevedore.
- Ensure timely reporting, feedback, and communication to all relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree holder.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM), shipping, or freight forwarding companies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience with SAP MM or SAP TM modules.
- Familiarity with shipping and freight forwarding processes.
- Required knowledge of Transport Management System (TMS) within SAP.

Additional Information
