Welding Inspector

Role overview

The organization is seeking a Welding/NDT Inspector for an onsite position in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on inspection and verification work across welding, process piping, mechanical equipment, hydro testing, and advanced NDT activities within oil and gas and petrochemical projects.

Key requirements

The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Mechanical, Welding, or Metallurgical Engineering. A CSWIP 3.1, AWS-CWI, and PCN Level II qualification is preferred, or alternatively ASNT Level 2 certification.

The position calls for at least 10 years of experience in onshore and offshore oil and gas or petrochemical environments, with hands-on exposure to third-party inspection and verification of work activities. The candidate must be able to evaluate NDT procedures, review and approve multi-discipline ITPs, and handle site queries, NCRs, and concession requests.

Technical and communication expectations

Strong command of spoken and written English is essential, including the ability to prepare technical reports, procedures, and QA/QC documentation. Prior experience dealing with EPC contractors is required. The candidate should also be comfortable using computers and familiar with ASME, AWS, API, DNV, ISO, and BS standards.
