Descrizione del lavoro
Role overview
Rocketeer Orbit builds a practical automation platform that helps businesses offload repetitive administration and operate with a digital workforce. The product is already live, customers are paying, and demand is increasing quickly, creating the need for this role.
This position is for someone who has spent years making complex processes work behind the scenes, whether by building N8N flows, repairing messy CRMs, or maintaining active Zapier automations. If you enjoy turning disorganised processes into reliable systems and feel underused in your current role, this could be a strong fit.
Location and working style
The role is based in Stafford, England, with a hybrid setup that combines time at the Stafford HQ with remote working days.
What the role involves
You will join the delivery team and report to the Head of Delivery. Your core responsibility is to take a clearly defined client problem and turn it into a working automation solution.
A typical week may involve receiving a brief from the Head of Delivery, mapping the workflow, building phase-one AI logic in tools such as n8n or Make, testing the automation thoroughly, and then handing it back for client rollout. In parallel, you will keep an eye on live implementations, monitor API token spend, and make sure existing automations continue to perform without drifting.
Key tasks
- Build and shape workflows using low-code automation tools.
- Develop initial AI-driven logic for custom client projects.
- Keep live automation work running smoothly and delivering results.
- Watch API token consumption and improve efficiency where possible.
- Support the line manager so they can concentrate on advanced delivery work and client strategy.
What they are looking for
The company hires for practical reasoning rather than keyword matching. You do not need to know their exact stack on day one, but you should be able to approach problems logically and enjoy building structured processes.
Ideal candidates are people who think in systems, have hands-on experience with automation tools, can recover quickly when something breaks, and stay calm when APIs change or a client updates the brief.
Two backgrounds are especially well suited to the role: someone who has long been automating their own life and now wants to do it full time, or a strong low-code user who wants automation building to be the main part of their job.
Benefits and rewards
The package includes a salary of £25,000 to £28,000, depending on experience, plus genuine EMI share options. The role also offers a mix of office collaboration and remote focus time, along with the opportunity to join a founding team and help shape the growth of the engineering function.
Application and hiring notes
Rocketeer Orbit is an equal opportunities employer and focuses on what candidates can build rather than their background or origin.
AI tools are used to help organise and review applications, but all shortlist and hiring decisions are made by people on the team. Applicants who prefer not to have AI assist with the review can request a manual assessment instead.
