About the internship
This in-office internship focuses on keeping client websites updated, stable, and visually consistent across WordPress and Shopify. You will work on content changes, page and layout updates, QA checks, bug tracking, and routine maintenance while supporting multiple client sites.
What you will do
- Refresh website content, images, products, pages, and layouts inside WordPress and Shopify.
- Apply website changes using supplied designs, instructions, and templates.
- Run QA checks before websites are released.
- Test site behaviour on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices to confirm responsiveness and function.
- Spot UI/UX issues, broken layouts, responsiveness gaps, and other functional defects.
- Record bugs, report them clearly, and track them through resolution.
- Coordinate with WordPress plugin support and Shopify app support whenever needed.
- Support maintenance tasks, backups, and regular website updates.
- Check forms, navigation, buttons, product pages, checkout journeys, and overall site functionality.
- Improve website performance by following established best practices.
- Maintain design consistency and cross-browser responsiveness across several client websites.
- Handle multiple websites while keeping quality high.

Other requirements
- Pursuing or already completed a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Comfortable using the WordPress dashboard; experience with Elementor is preferred.
- Familiarity with WordPress pages, posts, menus, widgets, media library, WooCommerce, plugins, themes, and user roles.
- Hands-on exposure to Shopify Admin, including products, collections, navigation, pages, blogs, themes, and Shopify apps.
- Knowledge of Shopify sections, templates, product variants, inventory management, and familiarity with metafields and metaobjects is a plus.
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive web design, and browser developer tools.
- Basic familiarity with JavaScript, site speed improvement, image optimization, SEO basics, DNS, hosting, SSL, and domain management is preferred.
- Portfolio or previous internship/project experience with WordPress or Shopify is an advantage.
- Strong analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and written/verbal communication.
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and follow website development guidelines.
Compensation and perks
The stipend offered is INR 12,000 to 15,000 per month. Perks include a certificate and a letter of recommendation.
