Key responsibilities

  • Ensure the bakery is prepared for scheduled or surprise USPH inspections by ship management or health inspectors.
  • Collect and move required supplies from the main stores to the bakery when assigned.
  • Follow company recipe standards and yield guidelines.
  • Assist the CDP Baker in preparing the daily consumption recap as requested by the Executive Chef.
  • Learn and apply shipboard operating procedures so guest and crew queries can be handled appropriately.
  • Take part in meetings, training sessions, courses, and other work-related activities as required.
  • Carry out additional related duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications and experience

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience working as a baker in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting environment; prior shipboard experience is preferred.
